For the implementation of an event-oriented water resource management, web-based information systems are used as an interface between science and practice. These systems will be available to local stakeholders (water utilities, farmers and agricultural authorities, relevant economic enterprises, etc.). Stakeholder are involved in the development process to achieve the greatest possible acceptance of the systems for future use. A real-time data-based Decision Support System (DSS) will be developed, and an extensive database for data exchange and storage will be created. Knowledge transfer is provided through trainings and workshops.
